Team Hally Bibles Arrive in Haiti

By Bible Project

In 2018, the Yust family was invited to attend a fundraising event for Global Orphan Project. This ministry exists to break the orphan cycle through the power of community, commerce and the love of Jesus. Global Orphan Project provides sustainable, local, family-style care that is deeply rooted in compassion, hope and the belief that every child deserves a chance. Following this event, a journey began to get French Bibles to Haiti.

We had no idea at the time this would end up being a long, difficult, and sometimes frustrating process. Sadly, Haiti has experienced ongoing violence, political turmoil, and corruption for many years. This has made the delivery of food, supplies, and assistance from outside of the country very difficult. Several months after Team Hally met with Global Orphan Project, Shon and Jenny were on a business trip brainstorming how to get Bibles to Haiti. A friend who was also on this trip suggested a ministry in South Carolina that sends medical supplies to Haiti and perhaps they would be willing to take the Bibles. We were filled with hope that this would be an easy process! Our contact Nancy Smith was so great to work with and even asked if we could send some Bibles for their church.

Then, who would have known that a global pandemic would stop the world? After months of waiting, we realized this effort had become nearly impossible. As soon as we thought we had run out of all options, Nancy found a ministry that flies supplies in to remote areas of Haiti. The Bibles had to wait for several flights because they needed to get the medical supplies there first, but finally at the end of 2021 the Bibles made it to the Village of David!

This journey is still unfolding and we’ll keep you updated as we continue learn more about the impact these Bibles are making in Haiti.

Team Hally is so excited for the summer of 2021!God opened many new camps and opportunities last summer even when our “normal” Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs didn’t happen. We would love to continue to give bibles to any VBS program that plans to meet this summer, as well as camps, mission trips, neighborhoods, and to individuals.

Please contact us at TeamHally2015@gmail.com or on our Team Hally Facebook page to let us know about your summer plans/needs for bibles. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

Team Hally Provides Bibles to Children’s Mercy Hospital

By Bible Project

Hello Jenny and Yust Family,

We remain so grateful for your family’s kind generosity.

Families are very appreciative when they ask for a Bible and their eyes light up when they are told it is theirs to keep. Earlier this week, a Spanish-speaking father asked me if we had any books in Spanish and when I showed him the books in the library, his choice was a Spanish Bible. I can’t fully describe the look on his face as he sat down on the couch – it was like he was relieved to see an old friend who would offer him great comfort.

Today one of the chaplains came to the chapel to get a Bible to give as a gift to a family who was being discharged after a long stay. I enjoy reflecting how Hally and your family’s gestures of love continue to cascade on many.

Many blessings to you all in this season of autumn!

Take care,
Lisa Blevins – Children’s Mercy Hospital (pictured above – far right, along with Parker and Jenny Yust)

1000 More Bibles Arrived

By Bible Project

God’s Word continues to be spread through the Team Hally ministry as we were down to only four boxes of Bibles in May. We are so thankful for each of you who faithfully gives funds so we can purchase more Bibles.

The day we placed stickers in the 1000 new Bibles we ordered, we had an amazing turn out. Psalms 13:6 says, “I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.”

As I was watching the stickers being placed in the Bibles, it overwhelmed me how bountifully my God deals with me. He uses a broken and disorganized mama to send forth His Word to share the hope and love He has for each of us. We have distributed more than 900 Bibles in the past month, and we already need more Spanish Bibles.

We are so excited to see what God will do with our ministry the rest of the summer!
