We had a ball!
Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the K-State women’s basketball game with us on January 19. We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces, and many new ones too!
Please click to enjoy the many photos submitted by our friends who also attended the game.
Below are words from some of our Team Hally followers about why they enjoy the Team Hally game every year:
The Team Hally game not only means a lot to the fans but it is a tradition that has been passed down over the years from player to player. This game and the relationship with the families involved in Team Hally mean a lot to us as players on and off the court. When I started at Kansas State, I didn’t know about the Team Hally events that went on. When I got on the team, the meaning behind it grew on me and it is now something I hold close to my heart and look forward to doing each year. Having the support behind not only the Yust family but the other families involved helps us as players feel supported and loved. The event after the game was a great time to be able to connect with the families and enjoy watching the Chiefs get a win! It was nice to be able to connect with different people from all ages enjoy each other’s company after such a meaningful game.”

What a special day for both our program and the entire Team Hally community to rally together to celebrate the life of Hally Yust. There was extra energy in Bramlage on Sunday from the tunnel walk to all the signs in the crowd; our team could feel it. This was another opportunity for our student-athletes to be impacted by something much bigger than the game of basketball. We are reminded of the love that Hally had for K-State and the women’s basketball program. Hally and the Yust family will forever be a part of our K-State family.

I was excited to invite my basketball team from Christ Prep to the Team Hally game this year. I was able to tell them about Hally and her love for the Lord and the ministry of giving Bibles. It was so neat to see the connection to the K-State players and being able to pray for them and see them after the game. I aways enjoy going to the Team Hally game every year. Though I was only friends with Hally for a few years, I am thankful to God for her friendship and for the hope we have in Christ.
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defence to anyone who ask you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect

The Team Hally game is a special event because it gathers a community of friends and family to not just simply watch basketball and have a good time, but more importantly to give the opportunity to invest in lives. This investment happens as individuals from Team Hally intentionally pray for the players each week, looking for ways to encourage and support them as athletes, students, and friends. In the midst of the busyness of life we are unable to attend every game seeing all their ups and downs, and their wins and losses. But through prayer we have the opportunity to love, support and care for one another through all of life’s circumstances. I have attended the Team Hally Game every year and it is always so neat to see which relationships God grows deeper and to see who else He brings into your life.
