We meet the first and third Thursdays of the month from 6:30 – 7:30 a.m. to pray for Team Hally. We would love for you to join us! Please email TeamHally2015@gmail.com if you would like to join the prayer team.

Here are some prayer requests we would love for you to pray over on your own this month:

•    Summer opportunities to give bibles to local VBS programs and summer camps
•    Opportunities to give bibles to local churches going on mission trips in 2021
•    Those who receive Team Hally bibles to read their new bible daily and to get plugged in with others who are reading God’s Word
•    Planning for 2021 Dirty Dash

WINTER TESTIMONY: A PERSONAL REFLECTION

By Newsletter

This year has definitely been a time of change in my life. It seems like every single part of my life has changed! I’ve found that just when I think life has changed enough or is going back to normal, something else changes! As most of our normal way of giving bibles was shut down, I decided to start praying that God would show me new opportunities to give bibles and for me to share God’s Word right where I am.

I have the blessing of teaching elementary Spanish at a private school called Mighty Oaks Enrichment Center. Each Christmas I like to give my students a gift, and as I processed through what to give each student, I decided to give each of them a Team Hally Bible. Honestly, I thought the students might not be super excited or that they all had a bible of their own. God really proved me wrong! Almost every student was overjoyed to receive their bible and said they couldn’t wait to read it on their own. Then, one of my fifth graders asked if I would start a bible study with them.

Once again, I wondered how many of my students would truly give up their recess time to do a bible study with their Spanish teacher, but decided I was willing to try! Of course, God had such a perfect plan that I shouldn’t have been surprised when around 25 third through sixth grade students showed up to study Jesus’ parables from Matthew 13. Most of the students are using the Team Hally Bible and it is so helpful to say, “turn to page 1041” and everyone is reading and studying the same version! I’m so excited to see in a few years how God grows these faithful young believers into mature men and women of God!

READ THE TEAM HALLY BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

By Bible Study

Do you ever feel lonely, depressed, frustrated, anxious, or unloved? Do you struggle loving those around you who don’t agree with you? Would you like to know more about God? Do you want to know if He is real?  What does the Bible say about COVID? What does the Bible say about sin?  About marriage?  About politics?  About heaven? Does God love me even when I do bad things?

There is one book that can show you the love of someone who will never leave you or forsake you and who holds all the wisdom of the world.

Would you consider getting to know this Someone by joining Team Hally in reading through the Bible in 2021?  We are currently in the book of Numbers which focuses on 39 years of wandering in the wilderness for the Israelites and how God continued to speak to them and lead them in spite of their lack of faith and sinfulness.

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
–Numbers 6:24-26

There are definitely many lessons all of us can relate to as we have been living in a wilderness of our own the past year. Seeking God in the midst of hardship and the unknown will give all of us hope!

2021 TEAM HALLY GAME HIGHLIGHTS

By K-State Basketball

On January 31, 2021 nearly 150 Team Hally friends and family gathered at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, KS to cheer on their beloved K-State women’s basketball team. The team has “Honor the Journey” as their theme this year and it was definitely a fitting focus for the challenges that all of us have faced!

K-State fought hard and almost pulled off a victory in the final seconds of the game. The afternoon was filled with large foam fingers that promoted Team Hally, distributed free to all fans attending the game. Attendees also saw a video highlighting Team Hally, lots of Team Hally fans on the big screen, lots of reasons to cheer, enjoyed socially distanced fellowship, and shared in Hally’s favorite sport: basketball!

God’s Word reminds us that, even as the journey all of us are on is unexpected, he is with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9). If you missed the game this year, we hope you will plan to join us in 2022 to cheer on the K-State women and celebrate Team Hally!

Go CATS!
