These are tumultuous times.

Instead of being afraid, at Team Hally, we have recommitted ourselves to our cause.

We’ve chosen to be inspired by the good work going on around us. These are some resources we are turning to to stay calm, focused and continue to look forward in this time of crisis for our country. We’ve found hope through these resources (and others):

Medical Lodge Bible Study

By Bible Study
After three years of loving on the people at the Medical Lodge of Gardner, God opened a door for a weekly Bible Study for the residents! How precious to see these sweet people hungry for God’s Word, choosing their favorite Bible verses, and bringing their own Team Hally Bibles to “read” during Bible Study.

We are currently studying the Gospel of Mark. We recently discussed Jesus getting baptized and several of the residents shared their own baptism stories.

And the King will answer them, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”  Matthew 25:40

We meet each Thursday from 2:45 – 3:30 p.m. at the lodge for Bible Study.  Please contact us if you are interested in joining us to make God’s Word come to life for these residents.

2020 VBS, Mission Trips And Sunday Schools

By Mission Trip

Once again Team Hally would love to partner with local churches by distributing Bibles to children who don’t own their own Bibles.

If your church has a summer Bible program for children, let us know and we can provide Bibles to these precious children. Jesus loves children “but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14 — and so does Team Hally!  Hally loved to read her Bible when she was only nine years old and we would love to have thousands of kiddos reading their Hally Bibles this summer.

Also, as many churches head all over the world on mission trips this summer, Team Hally has English, Spanish and French Bibles that we’d love to send with anyone who is willing to carry God’s Word to other countries.

Finally, many churches find it helpful to have children all reading from the same version of the Bible during Sunday school, so once again, contact us if the Team Hally Bible would be a benefit to your children’s program on Sunday mornings.

KSU Students Love Team Hally Bibles!

By Bible Study

Written by Parker Yust

Giving Bibles at K-State has blown my mind the past four years!

I came to college not really sure how many students would want Bibles. God continues to amaze me at the hunger he placed in college students’ hearts. Many of the students I gave Bibles to still read them to this day and use them in their personal time with God.

One student saw me working on the Team Hally Bible study (during class…).  After class we chatted a bit and he said he didn’t have a Bible and had been wanting one. He also revealed that he struggled with anxiety and had just gone through a tough breakup. He wanted to find something more in life. The next class period, I brought him a Team Hally Bible and he thankfully received it. I told him to start reading in Mark, and if he ever wanted to meet, I would love to! The next class period I asked him if he had read the Bible and he said he had. He had started in Genesis and had lots of questions already. We have been talking before and after class each day, and I’m hoping to meet one-on-one with him soon. It’s so encouraging to see what God is doing here at KSU!

The Ancient Kings of Israel
Read along with us!

“Only fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart.  For consider what great things He has done for you.”  I Samuel 12:24

As we read through first and second Samuel the past two months, it amazed me how the people of old would seek the Lord faithfully for awhile and then turn to their own wisdom and ways and then go back to the Lord, only to stray once again!

How often am I just like the ancient leaders and people? I earnestly seek the Lord for direction in one area of my life, and then the very next day I’m asking everyone around me what I should do and have not even waited to hear from the Lord! Matthew 6:33 reminds us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

I’m praying that each of us will consider what great things the Lord has done for the ancient kings of the past and for each of us today, and seek Him first!

If you aren’t currently in God’s Word each day, Team Hally would love for you to join us as we read first Kings in March. Visit our website at TeamHally.org for more information and to follow along.

WELCOME TO 2020 WITH TEAM HALLY!

By Bible Study, Dirty Dash

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

As God has revealed a brand new ministry year for Team Hally, we are so excited to see what He will do with each of us, where He will send Bibles this year, and what new opportunities to share Hally’s story with the world will arise. I’m amazed already how God has shown us some open doors this month that we didn’t expect!

Our prayer team was diligently seeking the Lord in how to share our story with the crowd at the annual Team Hally game which took place on Sunday, January 19. Who would have thought that a beanie would be an open door!

This year several Team Hally members helped distribute beanies (hats) that read “Team Hally” on one side and had a K-State powercat logo on the other. The fact that K-State allowed this to happen is almost a miracle in itself, and then God allowed it to be a very cold, windy day so when fans arrived inside the gates they really wanted a warm beanie!

We distributed all 500 beanies in about 15 minutes and had many, many fans who were disappointed they didn’t get one! However, God didn’t stop there! This was the first time that many, many fans were asking what Team Hally was and why we were giving away free beanies. Then when the Yust family attended the Lady Wildcats next home game, there were several fans wearing the beanies. Please continue to pray that some of the fans who received a Team Hally beanie will look us up and maybe even get excited about partnering with us to give out Bibles!

Some other awesome opportunities that we all can look forward to in 2020 are:

  • Delivery of Bibles to a new Spanish-speaking church in Olathe
  • Partnering with new churches for VBS in the Kansas City area, Wichita, Manhattan and Topeka, as well as many churches with whom we already partner
  • Bibles being provided to several mission trips (including Romania and possibly Rwanda)
  • 2020 Dirty Dash – September 26
  • Continued prayer partnership with K-State women’s basketball team
  • Continued Team Hally prayer ministry

PLEASE JOIN US AS WE CONTINUE TO READ GOD’S WORD TOGETHER!

By Bible Study

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

As we are in a new year, would you consider making reading the Bible a part of your daily routine? God loves you and wants to reveal Himself to you! He reveals Himself in the Bible! If you are unsure where to begin, we have a Bible reading plan that will give you a place to start. If you already are faithful in reading God’s Word, but would like to partner with other Team Hally members, we would love for you to join us.

Beginning Saturday, February 1 we will begin 2 Samuel chapter 1. It’s an easy plan! Just set aside a consistent time each day (morning reading is a great way to start your day). Pray, asking God to speak to you; read one chapter; journal your favorite verse or thoughts about the chapter and a prayer to God. On any day you might have something to share with others, post it on our Team Hally Facebook page or send a quick email to TeamHally2015@gmail.com!

It is so encouraging for all of us to share with one another. Here’s an example from our current study:
“Then David said in his heart, “Now I shall perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will despair of seeking me any longer within the borders of Israel, and I shall escape out of his hand.”
1 Samuel 27:1
How sad that after God had been so faithful to David that he chose to seek his own way, disobey God, leave God’s people, move to live with idol worshippers, react in fear, and choose discouragement and despair!  Sadly, how often am I just like David?

Dear Lord, Help me today to trust You over my fear and choose to obey you and dwell among your people and not succumb to discouragement and despair.

Praying that 2020 will be the year that God and His Word are your TOP PRIORITY and that you love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength!
