17 pray continually,
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Day 4: 1 Chronicles 29:10-11

10 David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, “Praise be to you, LORD, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.

Day 5: 1 Chronicles 29:12-13

Day 6: 1 Chronicles 29:14-15

14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.

Day 7: Psalm 9:1-2

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Day 12: Ephesians 5:19-20

19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,

Day 13: Colossians 1:12-14

12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Day 14: Colossians 2:6-7

6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,
7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Day 15: Colossians 4:2

2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

4 Let those who fear the LORD say: “His love endures forever.”

5 When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD; he brought me into a spacious place.
6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Day 22: Psalm 118:28-29

28 You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you.
29 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Day 23: Psalm 136:1-2

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever.

Day 24: Psalm 136:23-24

23 He remembered us in our low estate His love endures forever.
24 and freed us from our enemies. His love endures forever.

Day 27: Psalm 100:4-5

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Day 28: Hebrews 13:15

15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.

Day 29: Revelations 5:11-12

11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.
12 In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

Day 30: Revelations 5:13-14

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Summer 2022 Highlights from Team Hally

By Bible Project, Community, Dirty Dash, K-State Basketball, Newsletter, Prayer

BIBLES TO OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES

June 1 truly launched our summer distribution of Team Hally Bibles as we took 800 Bibles to Heartland traveling day camps to be given out at over 50 churches in Kansas and Missouri. The staff was so excited to be sharing the Gospel throughout the summer with the children who would be attending their camps.

In addition, over the next six weeks, we also partnered with many churches in the Kansas City area to provide another 800 Bibles to local VBS programs, backyard Bible Clubs, and camps. One local church member said that they had always wanted to provide Bibles for each of their children attending VBS but did not have the funds and that these Bibles are truly a gift from God!

BIBLES AROUND THE NATION

In addition to opening doors locally, God has also provided several opportunities in other states. Pennington Park Church in Indiana has a Backyard Bible Club and it was so exciting to see them ask for 150 Bibles in May and then a month later need another 150! God truly does exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Then further south God opened up the door in Alabama. Several Bibles were given to McDonald’s employees who had recently heard the Gospel and were beginning a 31-day Bible reading plan to explore their faith. Team Hally loves that God is an individual God who cares about a personal relationship with EACH person! Whether Team Hally gives 1000 Bibles at a big camp or a grandma sends one Bible to her grandchild in another state, God is using it.

BIBLES TO GUATEMALA

At the end of July, a group from Worden Church near Baldwin, Kansas will be headed to Guatemala for a mission trip and 6 Spanish Bibles are headed there also! We would love for you to pray over the individuals who will receive these Bibles and consider if your church has any upcoming mission trips that Team Hally could provide Bibles.

FCA ELITE BASKETBALL CAMP

On Tuesday, July 26 God is truly providing an opportunity to bring together all the things that encompass Team Hally!  Bibles, Basketball, and Believers!  The past few months Team Hally has been given the amazing blessing to partner with Fellowship of Christian Athletes Olathe to give Bibles at several FCA events including this upcoming elite Basketball Camp.  This camp will also include Ayoka Lee and other staff/players from K-State as well as Team Hally family and friends. Truly Hally’s love for Jesus and basketball is brought together in this event. As Psalm 139:13-14 says, we are fearfully and wonderfully made and God truly gives each of us a passion and skills which are meant to be used for God’s glory. Team Hally is providing 100 Bibles this day! Please pray that the Gospel will clearly be given and that many of the young children attending the camp will receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and then be obedient to make disciples of themselves (Matthew 28:19-20).

K-STATE PRAYER PARTNERS

Team Hally is super excited to be partnering once again for the 2022-2023 with the K-State Women’s Basketball Team! Our partnership with K-State began 8 years ago when Hally went to heaven simultaneously as K-State hired a new basketball coach, Jeff Mittie. Neither Coach Mittie nor the Yust family would have ever imagined what God had in store for our two organizations! The partnership started out because the Yust family wanted to honor Hally in two ways:  giving Bibles and supporting Hally’s passion for basketball through a scholarship to the K-State Women’s Basketball program. This relationship has developed into a “family.” Team Hally support the team by attending a women’s basketball game, sending the team and staff cards of encouragement throughout the season, and prayer partners for each player and staff.  The K-State team in turn attends our Dirty Dash, helps run muddy shoes back and forth for the runners, and some of the staff actually run the race! God has continued to grow this partnership in such an encouraging and meaningful way beyond our biggest dreams.

We are putting together the prayer partners for each of the players and staff by August 1!  If you would like to be a part of this impactful ministry please message us by July 28.

Book of John 21 Week Challenge

By Bible Study

Team Hally is excited to announce our Book of John 21 Week Challenge! Join us as we read one chapter of John each week for the next 21 weeks. This 21-week plan goes chapter-by-chapter through John’s gospel and is perfect for both new and seasoned believers to take a deeper look into the Great Story that’s All About Jesus. Will you take the challenge?

Whether you regularly read the Bible or it’s been too long time since you studied God’s Word, there’s something for everyone who sets aside a few minutes each week to read a chapter of John. By the time you finish, we are confident that you will grow in your walk with God, while also having a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and what he came to do.

Week 1

“Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.” – John 20:1

Do you want to learn more about Jesus? Grab your Team Hally Bible and join us for the next 21 weeks as we read the book of John together and learn more about Jesus and how much He loves you!

Week 2

“This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.” – John 2:11

What was Jesus’ first miracle? Grab your Team Hally Bible and read John chapter 2 with us this week.

Week 3

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

This week’s reading reminds us of the greatest love: Jesus dying for each one of us! God loves you so much that He gave his one and only Son to die a death that each one of us deserves because of our sins. We only need to believe and then we will have eternal life! Team Hally would love to pray for you if you have just chosen to believe for the first time!

Week 4

“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” – John 4:14

Today as you drink from your favorite water bottle remember that you will always be thirsty again!  Jesus was just like us in his earthly body and he got thirsty.  What he is talking about to the woman at the well is water that washes away our sins and makes us clean so that we may have eternal life.  Have you drank of the water Jesus gives?

Week 5

“When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?” – John 5:6

Jesus sees your hurt and pain today!  He sees us right where we are and wants to heal our hearts!  Do you want him to heal your brokenness today?

Week 6

“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” – John 6:35

Every time we eat or drink we will be hungry and thirsty again so what does Jesus mean here?  He’s telling the crowd to eat and drink of spiritual things that will satisfy for eternity.  The only way to be truly satisfied spiritually is to come to Jesus.  Are you hungry and thirsty today for more than just temporary satisfaction?

Week 7

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”- John 7:38

What or who are you believing in today? Jesus tells us that if we believe in him our hearts will be filled with life that comes from him and it is like a river flowing into our lives. Do you want this kind of water in your life?

Week 8

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” – John 8:12

Do you ever feel like you can’t see where you are going or what you should do in life?  Would you like to have peace each day?  Jesus tells us that he is the light of the world and whoever follows him will not walk in darkness.  Jesus wants you to follow him today and he will light up your darkness!

Week 9

“While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:5

Jesus sought out this rejected blind man — this nobody, this beggar — and he is seeking you out right now. To make you a courageous worshiper of Jesus.

Week 10

“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” – John 10:9

Sheep are vulnerable to predators and need protection from a shepherd.  Jesus tells us he is the Good Shepherd who will save us when we choose to follow him and enter into his protection then we are safe from the enemy.  He feeds us and cares for us spiritually.

Week 11

“But when Jesus heard it he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”” – John 11:4

When Hally got sick there were many friends and family praying for her healing. We believed that God had the power to heal her but we also trusted that he would be glorified even if she wasn’t healed. Because Hally had trusted in Jesus as her Savior for her sins, she is healed today as she is living eternally with Jesus.

Week 12

“If anyone serves me, he must follow me…”. – John 12:26a

Today as I go about the work I have to do, am I following Jesus’ perfect example of how to treat others and how I complete my work? Is God part of my day or am I working in my own strength? Whatever I have to do today, help me to be humble and to willingly serve the perfect boss!

Week 13

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” – John 13:34

If we are to love as Jesus loved us, what did his love look like?  Jesus’ love was willing to die for our sins, Jesus’ love forgave even before we asked for forgiveness, Jesus’ love never ends and Jesus’ love is for everyone!

Week 14

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.'” – John 14:6-7

What does it mean to KNOW Jesus? Jesus tells us that if we believe in Him, he will send the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, to help us to keep God’s commandments. This truth assures us that He will never abandon us and that with Him, we will experience peace, joy, and the love of the Father. May you seek to know Jesus and his heart!

Week 15

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5 ESV

Jesus tells us in this verse that he is the vine and that we must be connected to him to have true life.  Each of us can choose to be connected to many different things but life that will last for eternity ONLY comes in being connected to Jesus. What or who gives you life?  Will that person or thing last forever?

Week 16

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Often it is the constant little problems all day long that can become overwhelming and frustrating and cause us to lose our hope and joy. Today remember that Jesus tells us to take heart for in him is true peace!

Have you accepted Jesus’ invitation for peace?

Week 17

“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” – John 17:17

The word sanctify means set apart for a particular use.  Jesus sets apart believers to obey God and to walk in holiness.  Have you been set apart by Jesus?  Are you reading God’s Word daily so you know how to obey Him?

Week 18

“Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world.” – John 18:36a

On earth we all are part of different kingdoms (work, home, school, neighborhoods, families, countries, politics).  Jesus separates himself from everything of this world by clearly stating that his kingdom is not of this world!

Are you part of the kingdom of God?

Week 19

“When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” – John 19:30

This verse means everything to the believer in Christ!  Jesus paid the price for all sins by willingly dying on the cross.   The debt each of us owes has been paid in full.  Have you thanked Jesus today for his great love and sacrifice for you?

Week 20

“but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” – John 20:31

Why do we read the Bible?  So that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and have eternal life! Are you reading God’s word?  Do you know what you believe?

Week 21

“Jesus said to him, ‘If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!’” – John 21:22

Jesus clearly tells Peter that we should not concern ourselves with what God is doing in someone else’s life.  Each of us was created for a purpose and each one of us should follow Jesus and do the work he has called us to do and not compare! Are you following Jesus today?

EASTER BASKETS FOR HOPE

This month Team Hally put together special Easter baskets for City Union Mission! Founded by Rev. and Mrs.City Union Mission Easter Baskets David Bulkley, one of their primary purposes for beginning this evangelical Christian ministry was for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the hurting and the lost. The Mission’s staff continues in that uncompromising commitment. City Union Mission receives no government support and is not a United Way agency. The Mission depends completely on the gifts of God’s people – individuals, churches, groups, foundations, and businesses who have a heart for the poor and homeless in Kansas City.
